The Traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Federation New Zealand (TOGKFNZ) is affiliated to the Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Do Federation (TOGKF), based in Okinawa, Japan.
The TOGKF is an organisation dedicated to preserving Goju-Ryu Karate in the form handed down by its founder, Chojun Miyagi Sensei. Higaonna Morio Sensei is the TOGKF chief instructor and is a world-renowned Okinawa Karate practitioner.
Affiliation to the TOGKF ensures New Zealand students have regular contact with international instructors and the opportunity to train in Japan under senior instructors.
Senior TOGKF instructors in New Zealand have all had extensive international training experience ensuring that the quality of instruction at individual dojos is of the high standard, as set by Master Higaonna.
