Sensei Uehara is the most senior member of the Higaonna Dojo in Naha and takes classes at the Dojo on a regular basis. Sensei Uehara trained at the Higaonna Yoyogi Dojo in Tokyo during the 1970’s and featured in the popular BBC special on Karate called ‘The way of the Warrior’, where he received severe Sanchin testing from Master Higaonna. Sensei has also featured in more recent specials filmed at the Naha Dojo.

Please note there will be no lunch break but there will be regular breaks throughout the day, so bring water and food with you for these breaks.
Dan Grading;
A Dan grading will be held on Saturday at 12.15pm. Applicable information about requirements and fees will be sent to Dojo instructors upon notifying Sensei McGhie of their candidates.
Cost;
Senior (18 or older) $140.00
Junior (17 or under) $60.00
Children (12 or under) $20.00
Gasshuku fees can be paid directly into the same account Dojo affiliation fees are paid into. Otherwise, payment can be made at the registration desk on the day.
